Symbiont Zero-Type

About this game

In 2079, Kuroishi City has become a cage for its own people. A failed experiment has left the metropolis overrun by Distortions—feral, aggressive creatures that were ordinary residents not long ago. The city is quarantined, its streets abandoned to violence, and the corporation responsible is doing everything it can to keep the truth buried. Ella Lane once worked security for that corporation, Stardust Biotech. Now she is going back into the sealed-off city, and her reasons are personal. Her younger sister Ria was a researcher on the very project that ended in disaster. Before the signals stopped, Ria managed to send Ella a distress call—then disappeared without a trace. For Ella, the outbreak is not simply a catastrophe to be studied or contained. Somewhere inside the ruined city, in the wreckage of the experiment and the silence that followed, there may be an answer to what happened to Ria. Stardust Biotech’s cover-up stands between her and that answer, and so do the Distortions that now roam the streets. Her return to Kuroishi City forces her to confront the fallout of the disaster up close, along with the secrets kept by the employer she used to serve. Finding Ria means pushing deeper into the quarantine, piecing together the project’s hidden history, and facing what her former company would rather leave forgotten.
